Ashley Meyer, B.A.

Ashley graduated from New York University in 2019, where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology with Honors and minors in Spanish and Creative Writing. As an undergraduate, Ashley completed an honors thesis exploring the efficacy of mental contrasting with implementation intentions in the improvement of mood. She completed a 2-year post-baccalaureate as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Mass General Depression Clinical and Research Program in 2021, where she coordinated research studies exploring the placebo response in major depressive disorder and Mentalizing Imagery Therapy for Spanish-speaking dementia caregivers, among other projects. She then worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at the Division of Digital Psychiatry within Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center between 2021-2022, where she lead the lab’s first interventional study exploring app-augmented psychotherapy for patients with depression, anxiety, and/or post-acute COVID-19 syndrome. Ashley is also a Board Member at the John Stephen Meyer Foundation, a non-profit that aims to provide financial resources to research teams involved in innovative psychological science, mental health policy reform, and/or improving access to care. Ashley joins the CNL-SD as our U54 SCORE Project Manager.

Ashley has a great interest in pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology to investigate alternative treatments for depression, predictors of treatment response, and the intergenerational transmission of depression within families.
