Dr. Grace Huang is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Section of Men’s Health, Aging and Metabolism. Dr. Huang is an endocrinologist specializing in female androgen disorders, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Her research focuses on androgen physiology and mechanisms of androgen action in relation to cardiometabolic health outcomes in men and women. She is particularly interested in investigating the sex differences in the epigenetic effects of prenatal androgen exposure on the fetal developmental programming of adult cardiometabolic disease. Her investigations have provided novel insights into the role of prenatal androgen excess in the pathophysiology of PCOS as well as the potential long-term metabolic consequences of increasing human exposure to endocrine-disrupting environmental factors that interact and modulate androgen receptor signaling. Dr. Huang’s research is funded by an NIH F32 award, the Endocrine Society’s Clinical Research Fellowship Award in Women’s Health, and a K08 career development award from NHLBI..
